Party game

This is a game we played at Megan's party and I'm inviting anyone who reads the blog to play too. There is a prize on the line here, so try your best. This is also interesting to me because maybe I'll finally learn who actually looks at the blog. Leave your answer in the comment section (see link below blog entry). There is a selection for "Anonymous" that you can use to leave a comment, but make sure you put your name in your comment...

Shown below is one picture from each month starting in May 2007. You must guess which month you think each picture was taken. Whoever guesses the most correctly will get a prize.

Megan's Birthday Bash

Last Saturday, Megan and 37 of her closest friends and family gathered at the park to celebrate the big ONE. Thirty-seven people seems a bit crazy for a 1-year olds party, but because her birthday falls so close to a holiday all of her closest relatives (minus 1 aunt) were able to make it out. By the time we started to invite our friends from church, the number got larger. We rented a pavilion at the park and had a ladybug theme.

This was her cake.

This is her eating one of the cupcakes. She got a great big smile on her face when I put it in front of her, but wasn't completely sure how to go about eating it. In the end, she got it done.

Here she is opening presents with Dad. She received some very cute outfits, books and toys. What a lucky girl.

And, finally, what might be my favorite picture of the day...all tuckered out.

Up to date

I know, it's been a while since I posted anything, but it's been busy. We've been gone, we've been home, we've had house guests, we've been throwing birthday parties...Wow.

So I'll start at the beginning. Last Tuesday, Chad had to travel to St. Louis for work. The cheaper flights were out of Cleveland, so I drove him to the airport and stayed with his parents in Cleveland area until it was time to pick him up Thursday night. This was great for multiple reasons, including but not limited to: the house was clean when I left so I didn't have to mess it up and then clean it, I don't like staying home alone, I enjoy visiting with Chad's family, and I got to spend Wednesday at the scrapbook store finishing Megan's first year album while I had a free babysitter...

Here's what I got done:

This is the first page at the album. I don't think I've ever gotten so much done in one day. The night before I decided what pictures I wanted to use and what topics I wanted to do. Then, I went through a few of my favorite magazines and marked a few ideas that I could copy using those pictures. The page above is a definite scraplift.

It also helped to be at a store because I was able to find supplies that worked.

I finished the four above pages all on Wednesday. The page below I finished (with consultation from Sherry) during Megan's nap on Thursday.

In case anyone is counting, this is the first month since January that I've hit my goal of 10 pages for the month.

Because I don't have enough to do...

Aside from planning Megan's birthday party and a girl's night, I decided that Megan's scrapbook should be complete (other than leaving room for her birthday party pics) for her party...Today I completed 2 pages, which means I only have like 7 to go.

Into Everything

Megan, although not walking yet, seems to still find her way into trouble. On this particular day, she knocked the covering of the cubby and climbed in.

She is afraid of the vacuum cleaner when it is running, but she seemed to want to climb on it.

Baseball caps

I couldn't resist taking pictures of Megan in her baseball cap.

A day in the life...

New double page spread. I was trying to get it done for April, but when I realized that April doesn't have 31 days, I decided I could wait until May to finish it. I am still debating over this page. I messed with the computer part and the blocks forever and couldn't seem to get it quite right...but I managed to finish it nonetheless and using the same supplies I started out using (it was tempting a time or two to throw it all out and start over...)
