Okay, so I submitted the page below as is and then added a page for the album. Simple Scrapbooks almost always only does 1 page spreads, so I figured it would be better to just send one, but I wanted to add these pics too.

We promise to bring you back
One of my goals is to submit pages in attempt to get published. So, Simple Scrapbooks wants travel pages. This was what I came up with today. Any feedback?

Eight Months
Megan at 8 months:
can't really crawl but moves a whole lot
likes to stand
still eats mostly purees, but loves graham cracker and banana pieces
is almost always happy
doesn't have any teeth
laughs when her parents make funny sounds
is content to play with her toys for long stretches of time
loves to look at books
says "mama" and "dada"
Book-it
Megan loves to look at books. We always read and/or look at 2 or 3 books before naps and sometimes Daddy will read a few stories before bed. I don't want to be a pushy mom or expect her to be a little valedictorian, but I would love for her to be a reader because I think that it is essential to future success.
Little McMegan had a barn...
Megan loves to play with her barns. We keep one in her room and one in the attic. The one in her room in addition to singing "Old McDonald" also serves as her favorite thing to use to try to stand. Thankfully, so far she just tips the barn over before she gets to her feet. She loves to stand, but has absolutely no balance, so the pulling up efforts can only end in tears at this point.
She looks like she could crawl in this pose, but so far she always ends up back on her belly.

New pages
I finished another couple pages today. I have been working with a lot of pinks and muted colors, so it was fun to use something bright. I'd like feedback on the title. I know what I meant, but I'm not sure if its clear to someone else. There is writing on the star, you might have to enlarge the picture to read it.

Not quite crawling...
So she isn't crawling, but she can push herself backwards really well. Today is the first day she is getting her belly off the ground, so I thought I'd try and capture it. She is also babbling, mainly "bababa" and "dadada," but an occasional "mamamama." I'm pretty sure the mama counts for me, because she does it when she is crying at night.

Dedication pics
These are some pics taken after the service.
Everyone says that Megan looks like Chad, but I think at least in this picture, she looks like she has my eyes. Yes, hers are blue and mine are green, but doesn't she look a little like me?

Page 10!!
So this is a real simple page, but it makes the count for the month 10 pages!! I've discovered pink doesn't tend to scan very well. I promise these colors match!

Weekend shots
Megan was dedicated this weekend at our church. It was really nice. My parents and Chad's were all here. Todd and Hilary came over for the day. I don't have the pictures from the church yet (I didn't bring my camera), but I'll have some soon. I do have some pictures of Adisyn and Megan.
Yep, Megan licked Adisyn. Oddly enough, we also have other pictures of her licking or trying to lick Adisyn and/or Jonathan. She was extra wiggly yesterday, I think all the extra attention and lack of naps were a factor.

Attic Addition
In October, we added some base cabinets to our attic for additional storage (and an awesome scrapbook space) and to help keep it childproof.
Here is the main section. It's 8' x 10'.
This is the other angle of it.
One of my goals was to have as few cords and techno stuff showing as possible. I think this was fairly well acheived. The cpu and the components are all in one cabinet and the office supply/bill/mail stuff is in the other.
The rest makes up my beautiful SCRAPBOOK space! I have never been more organized and it is making my scrapbook time much more efficient. I know where everything is and can access it quickly. The first cabinet has my paper and projects in progress as well as my newly organized photo albums.
The lazy susan while not exactly what I wanted at first, is ideal for my jars of ribbon, buttons, flowers, etc.
In the middle cabinet, I used a tension rod to hang all my sheets of stickers, rub-ons and other flat additions. This way I can just flip through very quickly in search of that oh so perfect embellishment.
The drawers hold the tools so I can just grab and go. (Once I get scrapbooking however, I often still lose them under a pile of paper...)
We also installed some cabinets in another part of the room to house a mini-fridge, microwave, board games and other things we use regularly for entertaining. The cabinets are ideal for scrapbooking as they are just the right height to stand at a work surface (and tall enough that Megan will be like 6 before she can reach anything). We found out at our New Year's Party, they also work great for entertaining.
I posted pictures of the rest of our attic in May, if you want to see the before.

Sending out an S.O.S.
Attention Scrapbooker/blog readers:
This page has been tormenting me for 3 days now. I just can't seem to get it right. Ditch the turkeys? Ditch the flowers? I'm not really into color blocking, but it seemed cute at the time. Not sure if I should call it done. (The colors didn't scan well, they really do match each other).

Smiley Snowgirl
There's snow on the ground again in Pennsylvania so I took it as a sign that Megan should wear her snowgirl shirt. These might be some of our cutest pictures yet.
I'm trying to post more pictures to balance the scrapbook pages as I was informed by someone who will remain anonymous (but his initials are "Grandpa Warner") that he wanted to see pictures of Megan, not scrapbook pages...

The Colts last hurrah...
Megan wore her Colts cheerleader outfit for the last time yesterday (unless we bust it out again for a Superbowl party).
If you don't look to close, this next one looks like she's doing a cheer, even though she is really just trying to break free of being held.

Graham Cracker anyone?
Megan started eating graham crackers this past week and really enjoys it. I think she may be favoring her left hand as she keeps her right hand down at her side while she eats but uses her left for crackers and holding her cup.

Another page...
A couple of my girlfriends came over today and we had a scrapbook day. This is the page I got done before Megan decided she wanted all my attention. Caden and Lily (the other babies) stayed with their grandmas, but Megan and I had no such luck. She's had a bit of a cold and just wasn't interested in playing with her toys like normal.
